2 A Book of Sweethearts
Grosset and Dunlap 1908 Illustrated Boards Near Fine Illustrated Boards 11 1/2 " High By 10 1/2" Wide
Copyrighted by The Bobbs-Merrill Company 1908. This edition is probably a reprinting, since it lists Grossett & Dunlap on the Title page. Still, it's a lovely copy with all the drawings by Harrison Fisher and others in color, and full page size. 46 pages. POS on bottom of FFE. I'll grade it as Near Fine as the interior is flawless, all plates present & fine, and the cover is at least very good. It is in a Mylar.custom cover. After checking Bookfinder and all its listings, I believe this is one of the superior copies since the plates and text are so pristine.

20 Harper's Bazar: A Repository of Fashion, Pleasure and Instruction Volume 1/Vol. One Full year of Issues from 1868
1868 First American Edition. Three-Quarter Leather Very Good Three-Quarter Leather Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall
Here we have a bound Volume 1 of Harper's Bazar from 1868. It includes every issue of Harper's Bazar from the first year of the magazine STARTING AT VOLUME 1, NUMBER 10 which is January 4th, 1868. The last issue included is number 60, which dates from December 19th, 1868. That means every issue (save perhaps December 26th, which may not have been printed) from 1868 is present here, filled with beautiful black and white illustrations and full page plates. There are NO COLOR PLATES- apparently there were four supplemental plates included in the issues from 1868 but they are not present in this volume. Every other page is present and I find no rips or tears or major flaws. There is some light general foxing as shown in the photos below but it is present on a small minority of the leaves and I find none which makes any of the pages illegible. Each front page of an issue has a small orange sticker on the front cover which apparently was the mailing address label of the day. Two pages were miscut by the printer and extend past the corners of the other pages- they have been folded over back into the book. The book is well bound with solid hinges and boards. The spine shows some light wear and scuffing however all in all this is a very attractive, rare and desirable volume. Feel free to contact us if you would like to see photos of the volume. It is bound in 3/4 blue marbled boards with blue leather on the spine and corners. The dimensions are 16" x 11.5". The pages begin at 145 and end at 960. Feel free to ask me any questions you have. Priority mail shipping of this book will be included and we will be happy to ship this book via express if you would like to receive it for Christmas, though we will charge you an additional $50 fee. International shipping will be $80 for priority mail international- please contact us directly if you would like us to ship via Express Mail International, though at this point we can't offer a guarantee that the book will arrive before Christmas. Thanks again for looking and Happy Holidays!
