Originally published January 1943, this copy reprinted November 1948. A charming Reader emphasizing the American Western States. This primer contains 151 words only with a key in the rear headed Alphabetical Word List and the page number where it first appears. This Reader is in near fine condition, having been stamped several times as a college department copy. All painted illustrations are in Color, and are text appropriate, showing corrals, horses, ranches, farm houses, and so on. 160 pages. An early sight-say reader, and unusual at that. I wonder whether this was ever adopted for class-room use? Not ex-lib. Text block as new.
