Stated first edition. The book is sharp, tight and clean. There is just a hint of shelfwear to the book, with one every so slightly bumped corner (top front) and some normal very light rubbing to the bottom edges of the cover. There are five thumb print size marks that have been left as a result of its days as a lending library copy. They are in a row, 4 across the top of the ffep and 1 just adjacent, on the inside front cover. However, the book is still in beautiful shape and the jacket shows just 5 stamps on the inside of the spine. The front cover of the jacket is clean, tight and bright, with one nick at the top of the spine (1/4 inch). The spine is ever so slightly sunned, and the back cover- which is white- shows some light soiling, including a 1 inch long red marking, possibly from a crayon, and a 1/2 inch pencil mark. There is some very light, superficial rubbing along the top and bottom edges of the jacket. Unclipped, with a price of $3.00. The top 1/4 inch of the spine has one crease and a small nick shorter than that. Otherwise there is no chipping or tearing whatsoever. Former lending library copy, with no exterior markings, and only the aforementioned conditions. Four check-out stamps found on the interior of the spine (backstrip) concealed by the Brodart plastic cover.
